Last Saturday I taught my first community enrichment class at Panola College on the “Basics of Digital Cutting”. Each student learned how to set up an account in the Silhouette Design Store, purchase and download designs, and easily create their own designs from a “dingbat” font.

We practiced using several different features of the Silhouette Studio software and then moved on to cutting, weeding, and applying adhesive vinyl, both as a decal and as a stencil.

Each student completed two projects – a monogrammed ring dish and an etched candleholder.

It’s always fun to spend time with fellow Silhouette users and I’m looking forward to offering even more classes at Panola in the future. Stay tuned for details!
