Looking for a way to connect with other Silhouette users in the area? Don’t own a Silhouette, but want to know more about one? Or maybe you just want to spend an evening crafting with friends and learn something new in the process. If any of these apply to you, Creative Cutters may be just what you’re looking for!
Creative Cutters will meet on a monthly basis to share information, ask questions, show off what we’ve been doing and complete one small project. During our time together, I’ll present information on the Silhouette family of machines and highlight different types of media and techniques. I will also be available for minor troubleshooting issues. You are not required to own a Silhouette (or any other brand of digital cutter) to join.
All projects will be very basic, using beginner-level techniques and I will be there to guide you through every step. There is no charge to attend the meetings, but there will be a small kit fee (approx $5-$10) for those who want to complete the monthly projects. Pre-registration is not required, but highly recommended so that you are guaranteed a kit.
Please note that this club is not meant as a substitute for more in-depth classes, but rather an overview of just a few of the many things you can accomplish with a digital cutter. It’s also a great way for you to become more comfortable with your machine and meet others who share your creative interests.
Our first meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 6:30 pm, at the Panola County Extension Office, 522 W. College Street in Carthage, TX. Future meetings are scheduled for the third Tuesday of each month. No kit fee will be charged for the August meeting.
