It’s been a whirlwind couple of weeks around here – so much so that I didn’t get a chance to post last week. “Life” just happens sometimes. Buckle up though, because you’re about to get two posts in one, with LOTS of pictures!

I spent this past weekend at the All Things Silhouette Conference, hosted by Terri Johnson Creates. This was the only ATS event during 2018 and I’ve been looking forward to it for an entire year. Each one just gets better and better! As part of the ATS staff, I spend a lot of time working behind the scenes but I do it with a group of people that I love. We work our tails off but we have a great time!

In addition to my staff responsibilities, I also had the privilege of presenting two classes: The Power of the PixScan and Faux Leather Fun. It’s always great to be able to expand someone’s knowledge on the almost endless variety of things they can accomplish with their Silhouette machine.

The weekend prior to ATS, I hosted a Silhouette Holiday Workshop. It was so much fun to spend time with my Silhouette buddies and teach them a few tips and tricks as we completed SEVEN holiday-themed projects!

Orafol Americas and Sparkleberry Ink sponsored the Friday night pre-session, where the focus was on adhesive vinyl.

The first project was this cute Christmas memo book.

We finished up the evening with this shadowbox frame designed by Kerri Bradford. When I purchased my first Silhouette, I learned SO much from Kerri’s online classes and it was such a pleasure for me to share one of her projects in a class of my own!

Saturday, we stayed busy, busy, BUSY working with fabric…

Our sponsors for the day included Orafol Americas, ChemicaUS, and All About Blanks.

Lunch at the Sunflower Mercantile provided a nice break in the middle of the day. All of that crafting certainly worked up our appetites!

And did I mention that everyone who attended received a door prize AND a bag full of goodies?!? Many thanks to our very generous sponsors including Silhouette America, Orafol Americas, All About Blanks, ChemicaUS, etchall, Expressions Vinyl, H & H Sign Supply, Happy Crafters, Heat Press Nation, Little Shop of Vinyl, Siser NA, Specialty Materials, and Swing Design.

I’m sure each person would give a different answer if asked to name their favorite part of the day, but for me it’s always the smiling faces I see at the end and the pride everyone takes in their completed projects.

Wouldn’t you like to be one of those smiling faces? Be sure to subscribe to the blog and/or follow me on Facebook so you don’t miss out when the next class is announced. I’d love to have you join us!

Until next time,

  1. One of these days I’m gonna make it to ATS!! Looks like a fun time! I want to learn how to make the leather earrings and pixscan! I have a mat just never used it! I did try the earrings once but didn’t go so well.

    1. I hope you can come someday! It’s a lot of fun. If you want to try the PixScan or give the earrings another go and need some help, you know where to find me!
