Where to find FREE (and almost free!) Designs and Fonts
to use with your Silhouette
This site includes affiliate links. If you purchase from these links you will not pay more for the product, but I may earn a small commission which helps defray the costs of keeping the site running. I am also a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for me to earn commissions by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites. I appreciate your support!
All this month I’ve been sharing links to free designs and fonts on my Facebook page and in my private Facebook group. There are so many wonderful – and generous – designers out there! Many of them add new designs on a regular basis, so today I thought I’d share with you some of my favorite sources for designs and fonts to use with your Silhouette.
Some, but not all, are affiliate links, but each of them are sites that I have personally used and trust. In addition to the freebies, you’ll find some fonts and designs that do cost a little bit, but the price is usually very reasonable, especially when you consider all the work that goes into creating them. (Click on the links in the post to be taken to each site.)
My Favorite Sources for Free
Designs and Fonts
Silhouette Design Store
You probably won’t be surprised to know that my #1 source for designs is the Silhouette Design Store. Each Tuesday they offer a new free design – either a cut file, a font, or a pattern. They also have many “GET IT FREE” designs that are free with a qualifying purchase, along with Daily Deals, Weekly Steals, Last Chance bargains, and regular sales. Purchasing a Design Store subscription or Credit Boost will save you even more on the purchase price of individual files.
Angie at Burton Avenue has a whole library of free files on her site, along with project ideas and tutorials.
Creative Fabrica currently has almost 350 freebies listed on their site, including cut files, graphics, and fonts.
Creative Market offers fonts, graphics, mockups, web themes, and much more. Each week there is an assortment of freebies available, along with the opportunity to get even more when you make a purchase.
Cutting for Business
In addition to her fantastic resources for anyone in a Silhouette-related business, Christine at Cutting for Business posts regular freebies that also include commercial use rights.
Dawn Nicole Designs
Dawn is my go-to resource for anything hand-lettering! She offers free cut files, lettering practice sheets, coloring pages, and lots of inspiration on her site.
Whether you’re looking for a cut file, an illustration, or even a design to use for a mock-up, Design Bundles has you covered. They offer a free design each week as well as some great limited time deals.
If paper is your passion, you need to check out Dreaming Tree. From simple to intricate (and everything in between) you’ll be amazed at all the free cut files they have listed on their site.
Font Bundles is a sister site to Design Bundles. They offer a free font each week, along other limited time freebies.
The Hungry JPEG
The Hungry JPEG also has plenty of free fonts, designs, and graphics available for download. They offer a weekly freebie and fabulous deals on graphic bundles as well. (In fact, my logo was created from a watercolor floral clipart set I purchased from them!)
No matter what topic I’m searching for, I can usually find a design that fits my needs at Love SVG. They have over 7000 freebies listed on their site, along with commercial use files, bundles, mini bundles, and $2 deals in their shop.
Other Font Sites
Even with a large font collection, I’m always looking to add more – and you can’t beat FREE! In addition to the sites listed above, I find many free fonts at dafont.com, fontspace.com, or fontsquirrel.com.
I hope you’ve found this post helpful and that you’ll take some time to visit each one of the sites I’ve listed to see what all they have to offer. If you want to see even more freebies, check out my Facebook page where I’ll be posting links for the rest of this month. If you like what you see, leave me a comment below to let me know!
Until next time,
