Free Kitchen SVG Files for Cricut, Silhouette, and More

Whether you’re crafting for yourself or making something to give as a gift, kitchen and other home decor items are always a popular choice. In this post, I’m sharing a whole bunch of free kitchen SVG files that can be used with your Cricut, Silhouette Cameo, Silhouette Portrait, Brother ScanNCut, Glowforge and more. They’re sure to inspire you!
Before you start downloading, let’s go over a few basics:
What is an SVG?
SVG files are scalable vector graphics. Vector graphics are created by combining lines, curves, and points. Unlike raster images, which are made up of tiny little squares called pixels, SVG files can be increased in size without a loss of quality.
It’s very easy to resize a design in SVG files using digital cutting machine applications including Cricut Design Space, Silhouette Studio, and Canvas Workspace. SVG files are also very popular for use in other design applications such as Glowforge, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw, Affinity, Inkscape, etc.
Downloading the Free SVG Files
Most of the free designs will download as a zip file. Click on the download link (or download button), save the file to your computer, and then double-click on the filename of the zipped folder to open it.
Remember, these free SVGs are digital items and no physical product is included. All are available for personal use, but some have a commercial license included as well. Check the product description or the Terms of Use document that comes with the digital download to find out if small business or commercial use is allowed.
Using an SVG in Silhouette Studio
SVG files can be opened in paid versions of the Silhouette Studio cutting software (Designer Edition and above). For users who like to create their own designs, Silhouette Studio Business Edition can also export digital files in SVG format.
If you’re using the Standard (free) version, you’ll need a different file type such as a DXF file or PNG file. Many designers include these other file types along with the free SVG cut file, so check the description of the free download or the contents of the zip folder to see.
